    On the occasion of One Health Day 2025, Tierärzte ohne Grenzen and Ärzte der Welt invite participants to a hybrid event exploring how the One Health approach can help address crises and conflicts intensified by climate change and planetary boundaries. 🌡️🌿💧

    Under the title “One Health in Action – Addressing Crises and Conflict in a Changing Climate,” the event will feature expert keynotes and an interactive workshop, where participants work in small groups on real-world crisis scenarios — developing practical, community-based One Health strategies to foster peace, health, and ecological balance.

    Confirmed speakers include:

    • Dr. Dorien Braam (LSHTM / WHO) – Expert on health, migration, and climate-related crises.
    • Dr. Max Bürck-Gemassmer (KLUG) – General practitioner and advocate for resilient, decentralized health systems.
    • Omer Abdullahi Hersi (OWDA) – Humanitarian leader promoting One Health resilience in climate-affected regions.

    Your Profile:

    • Confident use of MS Office and virtual collaboration tools
    • Reliable, organized, and proactive with strong communication skills
    • Understanding of working with volunteers and commitment to social impact

    BEMC Talk – Harnessing the Power of Population-Based Data for Global Health Research


    On Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 4:00 pm (CET), Maja Marcus of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Brigham and Women’s Hospital will deliver a hybrid talk entitled “Harnessing the Power of Population-Based Data for Global Health Research.”


    The lecture will address how large-scale health datasets — from national surveys to multinational cohorts — can be harmonized and leveraged to answer urgent policy questions in global health. Highlighting the Global Health and Population Project on Access to Care for Cardiometabolic Diseases (HPACC), Dr. Marcus will explore both the challenges of working with diverse data sources and the transformative potential of integrated, policy-relevant datasets for advancing equitable and effective health policy.

    The German Eastern Business Association and the GHA – German Health Alliance will host the 8th German–East European Health Forum on 10 October 2025 in Berlin, as an official side event of the World Health Summit (WHS).

    This year’s theme is “Strong Health Systems for Welfare and Economic Growth.” The Forum will bring together senior decision-makers, business leaders, and health experts from Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia.

    Key discussions will focus on:

    • Healthcare as a strategic investment for the future
    • Cardiovascular health and CVD plans in Eastern Europe
