    Ende August besteht für Promotionsinteressierte die Möglichkeit, an einer zweitägigen Summer School des Promotionskolleg New Public Health teilzunehmen.

    Das von der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung geförderte Promotionskolleg lädt am 27. und 28. August zur zweiten Summer School ein.
    Die zweitägige Summer School richtet sich an Promotionsinteressierte, die ein Kurzexposé zu einem geplanten Promotionsvorhaben in den Themenbereichen Familie & Gesundheit, Ausbildung & Gesundheit, Arbeit & Gesundheit und Alter & Gesundheit erstellen und sich für eine Promotion im Promotionskolleg bewerben möchten.

    Während der Summer School bietet sich die Möglichkeit:
    🔹 das Promotionskolleg und seine Forschungsschwerpunkte kennenzulernen,
    🔹 sich mit Wissenschaftler*innen und Stipendiat*innen auszutauschen,
    🔹 das Kurzexposé in Workshops gezielt zu einem Voll-Exposé weiterzuentwickeln und
    🔹 sich optimal auf die Bewerbung um ein Promotionsstipendium der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung vorzubereiten.

    derzeit befinden wir uns in der letzten Woche des Nominierungsprozesses für die Wahl des Lenkungskreises des Global Health Hub Germany 2026-2028 und möchten Sie noch einmal herzlich dazu einladen, für Ihre Akteursgruppe Wissenschaft zu kandidieren.

    Möchten Sie selbst eine neue Perspektive in das Steuerungsgremium des Hub einbringen oder kennen Sie jemanden aus Ihrer jeweiligen Akteursgruppe, der perfekt dafür geeignet wäre? Dann unterstützen Sie gemeinsam mit uns die Vision, den Beitrag Deutschlands zur Verbesserung der globalen Gesundheit weltweit zu stärken, indem Sie selbst für ein Amt kandidieren oder eine Person aus Ihrer Akteursgruppe für die diesjährige Wahl des Lenkungskreises vorschlagen.

    Bitte reichen Sie das ausgefüllte Bewerbungsschreiben mit drei Fragen zu Ihrer Person und Ihrer Kandidatur (max. 100 Wörter pro Antwort) sowie ein Portraitfoto bis spätestens Sonntag, den 22. März 2026 beim Hub Management Team (info@globalhealthhub.de) ein oder nominieren Sie eine Person und senden uns deren Namen sowie die dazugehörige Akteursgruppe.

    We would like to remind you of our election of the Steering Committee of the Global Health Hub Germany. As we are in the last week of the nomination process currently, we would like to invite you again to become a candidate for your stakeholder group Academia.

    Would you like to bring a new perspective to the table or know someone from your respective stakeholder group, who would be perfect for representing its interests? Then contribute to our shared vision of strengthening Germany’s contribution to improving global health worldwide by considering running for a position yourself or nominate a candidate from your stakeholder group for this year’s Steering Committee election.

    Please submit the attached letter of candidacy with three questions about yourself and your candidacy (max. 100 words per answer) and a portrait photo to the Hub Management Team (info@globalhealthhub.de) by 22nd of March 2026 or nominate a candidate (name and stakeholder group).

    This interdisciplinary event will convene researchers, practitioners, and policy actors to critically explore and share insights on how community-centered approaches are operationalized in health emergencies. Contributions from those working closely with communities are especially encouraged.
    🧠 Themes include:
    • Governance, trust, and accountability in community engagement
    • Community protection in fragile and humanitarian settings
    • Operationalizing early detection and response through community systems
    • Role of community health workers and evaluation of outcomes

    💬 Selected presenters are expected to attend in person. A post-event publication in a global health journal is planned.

    🌍 Travel support is available for up to 10 presenters from low- and middle-income countries.
    This is a unique opportunity to shape evidence-informed practice in public health emergency response through collaborative and grounded exchange.

    In celebration of Europe Day, the EU Office of TU Berlin, in cooperation with the EU Office of the BMBF (DLR Project Management Agency), invites early-career researchers to a two-day online event:
    "Horizon Europe for Beginners."


    The training provides a comprehensive introduction to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon Europe (2021–2027). Participants will gain insight into the programme’s structure, funding opportunities, target groups, and the full application process. The sessions include practical tips, research tools, and guidance on support structures.


    The programme will be enriched by a firsthand account from a successful applicant and an overview of Open Science services (including open access publishing and data management) at TU Berlin.
