The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is seeking a Scientific Research Associate for its Centre for Cancer Registry Data (ZfKD). The role focuses on developing and leading Germanyâs cancer research data infrastructure, supporting the use of cancer registry data for scientific research, and facilitating future linkage with statutory health insurance data.
đš Key Responsibilities
⢠Design and further develop procedures for accessing and using cancer registry data
⢠Lead the methodological and technical development of research data infrastructures
⢠Establish data quality standards and nationwide monitoring processes
⢠Ensure compliance with legal and data protection requirements
⢠Coordinate collaboration between cancer registries, health data centres, federal authorities, and other stakeholders
⢠Represent the ZfKD in national working groups, committees, and negotiations
đš Profile Requirements
⢠Master's degree, university diploma, state examination, or equivalent in Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology, (Bio)Informatics, Pharmacy, Biomedicine, or a related field
⢠Several years of experience with cancer registry systems, oncology data structures, and clinical oncology processes
⢠Experience managing complex stakeholder and policy-related coordination processes
⢠Experience analysing healthcare routine data (registry and/or claims data)
⢠German language skills at C1 level and English at B2 level minimum

⢠Experience with research data infrastructures, data portals, or scientific application management systems
⢠Knowledge of healthcare data legislation and data protection regulations (GDNG, BKRG, SGB V, GDPR)
