🌍 Aktion gegen den Hunger is looking for an Advocacy Officer to strengthen its political and humanitarian advocacy work on global hunger crises, climate change, and conflict-related food insecurity.
📍 Location: Berlin, Germany

đź“„ Contract: Fixed-term for 2 years
💰 Salary: approx. €4,030–€4,570 gross/month (depending on experience)
Key responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and analysing political developments related to humanitarian crises, climate change, and food security
• Representing advocacy positions with ministries, parliament, academia, civil society, and partner organisations
• Translating complex policy and programme insights into accessible communication materials
• Organising dialogue formats such as roundtables, conferences, and background discussions
• Contributing to working groups and networks focused on climate- and conflict-related hunger issues
👤 Profile requirements:
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in advocacy, humanitarian aid, or development cooperation
• Strong understanding of international humanitarian and political processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of climate-related food insecurity issues is an advantage
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent German and English; French is a plus
• Residence in or near Berlin with regular office presence possible
