The Robert Koch Institute is seeking scientific staff for its MF 2 “Fachdaten-Kompetenzzentrum” team, which develops data-driven solutions for public health surveillance. Responsibilities include designing and operating surveillance data pipelines, developing databases and system architectures, ensuring reproducibility and software quality, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting nationwide public health analyses.

Candidates should have a Master’s or equivalent degree in computer science, bioinformatics, data science, statistics, or related fields, with experience in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT processes, collaborative software development, and data integration. Knowledge of FHIR or health data standards, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD workflows is desirable. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
