The Institute for Clinical Epidemiology and Biometry (IKE-B) at University Hospital Würzburg is seeking a full-time scientific research associate (40 hours/week) to join its interdisciplinary research teams as soon as possible.
tasks
• Conduct research in health services research and clinical epidemiology, especially focusing on vulnerable populations (e.g., people in need of care and children with special healthcare needs)
• Prepare and carry out statistical analyses of primary data and statutory health insurance routine data
• Contribute to systematic literature reviews
• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multicenter and interdisciplinary research projects
• Develop scientific publications and conference contributions
• Assist with planning and developing new research projects
• Participate in teaching and training activities at the institute
profile requirements
• Master’s or Diploma degree in health sciences, social sciences, medicine, or related fields with focus on epidemiology, health services research, or public health
• Strong interest in quantitative research methods and data analysis
• Early-stage researcher interested in interdisciplinary scientific work
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
• Experience with statistical software such as R or SAS desirable
• Experience in healthcare settings and initial publication experience are advantageous
