The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA), a federal research institute under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, is seeking a student research assistant for its interdisciplinary group “Medical Occupational Safety and Occupational Diseases”. The team works at the interface of research, policy, and practice on topics such as occupational diseases and occupational medical prevention.

🔎 key tasks

* Assist with systematic literature searches and literature management
* Support knowledge synthesis and research preparation
* Help prepare texts, presentations, and publications (editing, formatting)
* Support the scientific offices of advisory bodies on occupational diseases and occupational medicine
* Assist with organizing meetings and events (e.g., committee sessions)
* Help with team coordination tasks such as room bookings, calendars, and document management

🎓 profile requirements

* Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Human Biology, Biomedical Sciences)
* Interest in scientific research and evaluation of epidemiological studies
* Interest in conducting systematic reviews in occupational health
* Basic knowledge of epidemiological methods
* Good MS Office and general IT skills
* Structured and careful working style
* Very good German and English skills (C1)
