🌍 Internship Opportunity at GIZ – Global Health & Local Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Production in Africa
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is seeking an Intern (d/f/m) for the project “Global Health, Local Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Production in Africa” in Bonn.
🔹 Tasks:
• Support BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) in policy and technical advice on local vaccine & pharmaceutical production
• Prepare and update analyses, reports, and briefing notes in German and English
• Conduct research on current developments and monitor relevant health policy debates
• Assist in coordinating meetings and communication with BMZ and international partners
• Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of expert events (incl. virtual)
🔹 Profile:
• Enrolled in at least the 4th semester in medicine, economics, pharmacy, health, political or social sciences, or a related field
• Strong interest in development cooperation, global health policy, infectious diseases, health system strengthening, and vaccine/pharmaceutical production in Africa
• Regional knowledge/experience in Africa or partner countries is an asset
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present complex issues clearly
• Fluent in German (B2+) and English (C1); French is a plus
• Organized, proactive, and reliable team player
