The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is seeking a Research Associate (d/m/w) for Data Quality Assurance in Surveillance within the Department of Epidemiological Data and Survey Centre.

🔹 Tasks:
• Conduct data quality assurance (consistency, completeness, plausibility checks)
• Finalize, document, and release datasets for scientific analysis
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (incl. BMG, Commonwealth Fund, partner countries)
• Develop and implement procedures for data preparation and quality control
• Create correction syntax for data cleaning using SAS

🔹 Profile requirements:
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, biometrics, epidemiology, public health, health sciences, business informatics, or related field with strong data/analysis focus
• Proven experience in data preparation and validation (preferably in epidemiological/medical surveys)
• Proficiency in SAS; experience documenting study/data processes (e.g. codebooks, metadata)
• Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
• Desirable: knowledge of R, Stata, Python; experience with Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket

🔹 Details:
• Location: Berlin
• Workload: 50% (19.5 hrs/week)
• Salary: E 13 TVöD
• Contract: Fixed-term until 31.12.2028
