Medical Advisor (Physician) | German Hospital Federation (DKG), Berlin | Deadline: Open until filled
The German Hospital Federation (DKG) in Berlin is seeking a Physician as Medical Advisor (m/f/d) to strengthen its department for ambulatory and inpatient clinical care.
Tasks
• Contribute to the development of the German healthcare system, including supporting consultations with the Leistungsgruppenausschuss and joint self-administration.
• Assess medical and economic issues.
• Work on questions regarding inpatient and outpatient reimbursement systems (DRG, PEPP).
• Support the development of coding systems and guidelines (ICD-10-SGB V, OPS, DKR).
• Analyze cases for the federal arbitration committee under §19 KHG on coding/reimbursement disputes.
• Represent hospitals in negotiations with health insurers.
Profile
• Completed medical degree with clinical experience.
• Knowledge of medical controlling and inpatient billing.
• Familiarity with diagnoses/procedure coding and DRG/PEPP systems.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Independent, responsible, and solution-oriented working style.
• Confident communicator with negotiation skills.
