The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs Brandenburg is hiring a Policy Officer to work on public mental health, addiction support services, and drug policy within the state’s health department.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Draft policy proposals, legal texts, position papers, and reports related to social psychiatry and addiction services
• Develop and coordinate a state prevention strategy in line with federal frameworks
• Represent Brandenburg in federal working groups (e.g. addiction services)
• Organize state-level addiction conferences
• Support funding guidelines and joint projects with health insurers and municipalities
• Collaborate with municipal psychiatric and addiction services
• Contribute to the implementation of the Cannabis Use Act (KCanG)
👤 Your Profile
Required:
• Master’s degree in public administration, law, health or social sciences
• Strong analytical, independent, and structured work style
• Team spirit and ability to handle deadlines
Desirable:
• Experience in public administration and policy
• Knowledge of German health law (esp. BbgGDG, BbgPsychKG, KCanG) and budgeting
