Join the National Dementia Strategy Office at the German Centre of Gerontology (DZA), supporting the Federal Ministries of Health and Family Affairs in implementing Germany’s dementia strategy. The role bridges science, policy, and practice in addressing one of society’s key ageing challenges.
📍 Location: German Centre of Gerontology (DZA), Berlin
🗓 Start: 01 September 2025 | ⏳ Contract: Until 30 November 2026 (maternity/parental leave cover)
💼 Full-time | 💶 Salary: Public Sector Pay Scale EG 13 (TVöD Bund)

🔧 Main Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct professional events, workshops, and working meetings.
• Contribute to the further development of the National Dementia Strategy (conceptually and methodologically).
• Support the strategy’s public communication efforts.
• Provide background research and policy input to the Federal Ministries (BMG and BMFSFJ).
👤 Your Profile
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in social/behavioral sciences, health or nursing sciences, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Dementia care and support systems.
• Policy frameworks and research in dementia.
• Support for family caregivers.
• Experience with planning expert events.
• Ability to synthesize complex policy and scientific information clearly and accessibly.
• High motivation, team and communication skills, and ability to work independently and goal-oriented.
