🏢 About the Role
The GKV-Spitzenverband (National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds), representing the interests of approximately 75 million insured individuals in Germany, is seeking a Head of the Nursing Staff Unit in the Department of Long-Term Care.
You will lead a newly restructured unit focused on the regulation of nursing roles in long-term care, shaping the development of new professional roles and overseeing associated pilot programs and policy recommendations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Manage a small team (3 staff) within the new Nursing Staff Unit.
• Oversee regulatory frameworks for nursing activities in long-term care.
• Guide implementation of new professional roles and model programs funded by long-term care insurance.
• Contribute to the national employment register for care professionals.
• Update and issue recommendations on home environment improvements.
• Liaise with political, scientific, and professional stakeholders.

👤 Candidate Profile
• University degree, ideally in nursing/health sciences, social sciences, or economics.
• Professional license as a registered nurse is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the German health and social insurance systems.
• Proven leadership experience and strategic oversight of interdisciplinary teams.
• Sound knowledge of healthcare law, policy, and governance structures.
• Expertise in evaluating and managing scientific studies and nursing research projects.
• Strong organizational, conceptual, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
