The German Red Cross (DRK) is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to support and shape its national blood donation services at the intersection of health policy and humanitarian engagement. The role is situated at the DRK's headquarters in Berlin within the Presidency & Board Division and involves close cooperation with political stakeholders and executive leadership across the DRK blood services network.

⢠Act as the primary liaison between the DRK blood donation services and national political decision-makers.
⢠Develop and maintain strategic political networks with a focus on health and blood donation policy.
⢠Represent DRK blood services in the German Bundestag, attending meetings and events.
⢠Monitor and analyze national health policy developments and advise leadership through briefings and research.
⢠Coordinate advocacy efforts in cooperation with DRK departments and blood services.
⢠Support the chairpersons of the DRK blood services association in administrative and strategic tasks.
â Candidate Profile
⢠University degree in humanities, social sciences, economics, public health, or a related field.
⢠Professional experience in political communication, parliament, or federal ministriesâpreferably in health policy.
⢠Deep understanding of health policy and political frameworks affecting blood donation.
⢠Strong communication, coordination, and public speaking skills.
⢠Proven project and event management experience.
⢠Excellent German language skills and strong command of English.
⢠Willingness to travel occasionally.
