• Coordinate and manage surveillance of antibiotic resistance in inpatient and outpatient care
• Further develop the ARS surveillance system
• Support and liaise with participating institutions
• Lead and present scientific evaluations for national and international policy audiences
• Represent ARS in expert bodies and international settings
• Support broader research and epidemiological work within the department
đź§ Your Profile
Required:
• Master’s or equivalent in Medicine, Microbiology, or related field
• Strong background in infectious diseases, microbiological diagnostics, and surveillance systems
• Fluency in German (C1) and English (B2)
• Public health/epidemiology qualification (e.g. MPH, EPIET) is a plus
Preferred:
• Experience with infection epidemiology, data analysis (preferably in R), and scientific publication
• Familiarity with FHIR interfaces and microbiological data standards
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

• Willingness to travel, including short-notice and international deployments
• Participation in on-call duty (desirable)
• Fit for tropical travel (health clearance may be required)
