Project Lead – Migration and Refugees (f/m/d) | Save the Children | 06 July 2025
🧩 About the Project:
“SAVE – Sicher. Ankommen. Vernetzen.” is a Save the Children Germany project focused on strengthening the mental health of highly vulnerable refugee children and youth by expanding and improving psychosocial and therapeutic services in specialized centers. The project also promotes systemic change through nationwide trainings, child protection strategies, and advocacy.
📍 Location: Berlin (Hybrid)
📅 Start Date: 01 August 2025
📝 Contract Duration: Until 31 July 2028 (subject to BAMF/AMIF funding)
💶 Salary: €3,900–€4,400/month gross (full-time, based on experience)
🕒 Working Time: Full-time (40 hrs/week) or part-time
📅 Application Deadline: 06 July 2025
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the project, including monitoring activities and milestones
• Supervise and support a 4-member project team
• Oversee budget and compliance (in collaboration with the finance team)
• Coordinate and report to partners and donors
• Organize network events and a professional conference
• Provide input for political advocacy and public communication
• Offer expertise on mental health and contribute to Save the Children’s strategic development in this area
👤 Your Profile:
• Degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, education, or a related field
• At least 3 years of leadership experience and public project management
• Experience in psychosocial support, child and youth health, migration/refugee contexts, child protection or youth participation
• Familiarity with BAMF/AMIF-funded projects is highly desirable
• Excellent German (C1); good English or other language (B1+) is a plus
• Confident, collaborative, proactive, and willing to travel within Germany
