Student Assistant (SHK) – Medical Sociology | University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) | Deadline: 14 September 2025
The Institute of Medical Sociology at UKE is seeking a student assistant (SHK) to support the research project Prime-Care-IBS (“Diagnosis and treatment of irritable bowel syndrome in primary care – do patient and physician characteristics matter?”).
Tasks
• Support data collection, preparation, and analysis.
• Conduct literature searches.
• Assist with project organization and administrative tasks.
Profile
• Enrolled students in sociology, psychology, public health, health sciences, medicine, or related fields (preferably Master’s level).
• Reliability, strong organizational and communication skills, accuracy.
• Interest in society and health topics.
• First experience with qualitative/quantitative research desirable.
• Very good German skills (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of MS Office required; SPSS or similar software is an advantage.
Conditions
• Part-time (max. 10h/week, ~40h/month).
• Start: ideally 1 October 2025 or as soon as possible.
• Initially limited to 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
• Salary: €15.08/hour.
• Location: Hamburg.
