Last Friday, at the Women in Global Health Germany Network meeting, our Hub Community on Non-Communicable Diseases made clear that Germany and its partners in the EU and G7/G20 needed to step up efforts and raise awareness of brain disorders, which disproportionately affect women. “Brain health is hardly talked about; neither are NCDs covered appropriately in the German and European global health strategies”, Prof. Dr. Dr. Andrea Winkler laid out the rationale for taking up this issue, incl. through a Policy Brief under the umbrella of the Hub.
