The Master of Global Urban Health (MSc GUH) programme, in collaboration with the Centre for Planetary Health (CPH), is organising an International Symposium on Planetary Aspects of Urban Health, to be held on September 25 – 26, 2025, at the University of Freiburg.

The event will explore the intersections of planetary health, including the environment, climate, urban health and global sustainability, featuring expert discussions and offering valuable networking opportunities with health professionals, master alumni and students from around the world.

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Theodor Bilharz, the discoverer of Schistosoma haematobium, leading research institutions from Germany and Gabon have come together to host a landmark conference in Tübingen. The event is co-organized by the University Hospital Tübingen, Technical University Munich, Justus-Liebig University Gießen, and the Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné (CERMEL) in Gabon.

The meeting aims to bring together experts, researchers, and students from across the globe to exchange insights, present new research, and discuss future directions in the fight against schistosomiasis.
