Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) affect over 1.6 billion people, mostly in underserved communities. Yet NTDs are largely preventable, treatable and, in many cases, can be eliminated altogether. Too often seen as a distant challenge, the fight against tropical diseases is also highly relevant for Germany: Health challenges do not stop at borders, and neither does responsibility.
