🔹 About the Project
Join GIZ’s initiative “Digital Health in Africa – Promoting Interoperability for an African Data Market” supporting digital health systems in countries like Cameroon, Malawi, Rwanda, and Senegal. Collaborate with African and European partners to strengthen health data governance and interoperability frameworks.
🕐 Duration: 1 September 2025 – 28 February 2026
💰 Stipend: €2,205.04/month (gross)
📍 Location: Eschborn, Germany
🔹 Key Tasks
• Coordinate meetings, draft notes, and develop concepts
• Conduct desk research on health data frameworks (e.g. EHDS, HL7 FHIR, OpenHIE)
• Map digital health and health information exchange (HIE) initiatives
• Support communication materials, knowledge management, and country-level coordination
🔹 Profile Requirements
• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s program (e.g., digital health, informatics, ICT)
• Strong interest in digital health and health system strengthening
• Familiar with health information systems (e.g., DHIS2, OpenMRS) and standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR, SNOMED)
• Fluent in English (German or French a plus)
• Analytical, organized, and interculturally competent
