Learning and Innovation Manager, Anticipation Hub (m/f/d) | German Red Cross | Deadline: 15.11.2024
The position is located in the German Red Cross headquarter in Berlin in the International Cooperation Division and the Knowledge and Innovation Department. This department is responsible for thematic areas in international cooperation and is implementing a global project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, which includes the Anticipation Hub.
In this position, you will be part of the Anticipation Hub, a knowledge platform and network aimed at promoting learning, exchange and collaborative advocacy in the field of anticipatory humanitarian action. The Anticipation Hub is a joint initiative of the GRC, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre (Climate Centre).
The employment is full time. The employment offer is initially limited to until 31.12.2025.
Your tasks:
• Capture existing knowledge and co-develop high-quality learning material in partnership and collaboration with anticipatory action experts
• Design and support the delivery of learning activities of the Anticipation Hub in collaboration with the Anticipation Hub coordination team (IFRC, Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre and the German Red Cross) and other partners as required
• Support the coordination and implementation of work packages from the Anticipation Hub inter-agency working groups, and adapt them to specific regional needs
• Proactively support the accessibility of anticipatory action knowledge (including methodologies, tools, resources and access to experts) and tools (including the global map, early action, trigger and evidence databases) to be featured and regularly updated on the Anticipation Hub website
• Support knowledge co-creation and innovation by proactively coordinating with anticipatory action practitioners and working groups with regards with new products and case studies, and liaise with the Anticipation Hub Content Manager to upload relevant content on the website
Your profile:
• Holds an accredited university degree in relevant fields
• At least 5 years of field experience in humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, disaster risk reduction or climate change adaptation
• Experience working within the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is an asset
• Experience in cross-sector and multi-stakeholders’ collaboration and engagement with a broad range of actors
• Hands-on experience developing and delivering high quality learning materials for humanitarian and development actors is considered an asset
• Willingness to travel internationally and ability to work in tropical conditions
• Required proficiency in English, with knowledge of other languages is an asset
