🌍 The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a Project Management Officer (P3) to support the WHO Health Emergencies Programme in managing regional health emergency and pandemic preparedness projects across South-East Asia and the Western Pacific, based in New Delhi, India.

🚨 Main responsibilities:
Support WHO regional offices and countries in developing proposals for the Pandemic Fund and other donors. Help develop joint projects with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other multilateral financing institutions. Strengthen collaboration with ASEAN and ACPHEED on health emergency preparedness. Coordinate regional monitoring mechanisms and technical working groups, including meetings, action points and stakeholder follow-up. Support country teams with annual workplans and budgets, develop logical frameworks and monitoring tools, and monitor project implementation. Prepare project reports and ensure compliance with donor agreements and monitoring requirements. Identify and help mitigate programme risks, coordinate project visibility and communications, and support evaluations, lessons learned and evidence-based decision-making. 🌐📊

👤 Candidate profile:
University degree in Business Administration, Planning, Project Management, Health or Medical Sciences required. A master’s degree in business, healthcare/public health, community health administration, planning or programme/project management is an asset. Training in donor relations, partnerships, communications/report writing, public health or emergencies is desirable. Minimum 5 years of programme-management experience in the health and/or development sector, including at least 2 years of international experience. UN experience is an advantage. Strong project-management, monitoring and evaluation skills, including experience developing proposals and project reports, are essential.

🗣️ Languages:
Expert English required.
Knowledge of a South-East Asian language and an intermediate WHO official language is desirable.

💰 Remuneration & benefits:
Annual base salary starting at USD 71,335, plus a variable post adjustment currently USD 1,718/month for New Delhi. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave and an education grant for dependent children.
