🌍 The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a Programme Management Officer (P3) to support strategic planning, programme management and results-based implementation within its Yemen Country Office in Aden, Yemen.

Full-time, temporary appointment for 12 months
Duty station: Aden, Yemen
Grade: P3
Extension may be possible depending on funding, performance and continuing need.

πŸ“Š Main responsibilities:
Support strategic and operational planning between the WHO country and regional offices. Coordinate results-based management across the country office, including grants, budgeting, work planning, resource allocation, monitoring and reporting. Support resource mobilisation and ensure appropriate use of programme funds. Monitor and analyse programme performance and prepare reports, briefings, proposals and communication materials. Organise programme-management meetings and capacity-building activities and follow up on agreed actions. Improve management processes and promote integrated, cross-programme approaches. Strengthen staff capacity in results-based management and apply the WHO Emergency Response Framework to support effective health interventions in emergency settings. πŸš‘πŸŒ

πŸ‘€ Candidate profile:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, management, administration or a related field required. Relevant programme-planning, implementation or monitoring & evaluation training/certification may be required for candidates without a relevant degree. A master’s degree in a related field is desirable. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in programme/project management within public-sector, international development or public health programmes. Experience with programme management, WHO processes and international-level work is an advantage. Strong skills in multidisciplinary team coordination, strategic planning, results-based management, monitoring and evaluation, analysis, and written and oral communication are essential.

Expert knowledge of English required.
Knowledge of another official WHO language is an asset.

Annual base salary starting at USD 41,349, subject to applicable deductions. 30 days annual leave.
