The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is recruiting a Project Group Leader (m/f/d) for its new research group on *Digital Living Environments and Health: Risks, Benefits and Intervention Potential*. Based in Berlin, the fixed-term position starts on 1 January 2027 and offers a unique opportunity to lead innovative research on the impact of digital environments on health, health literacy and health behaviour. 🌐🩺

The successful candidate will lead the project group and its staff, design and coordinate population-based health studies, develop methods to assess the health effects of digital media (including social media), integrate innovative approaches such as AI, social listening and wearable data, secure research funding, supervise early-career researchers, collaborate with external partners, publish scientific findings, and provide evidence to inform public health policy.

Applicants should have a strong scientific background and leadership experience in public health, epidemiology, digital health or a related field, with expertise in population-based research and innovative research methods. Experience in acquiring third-party funding, publishing scientific work, and collaborating across disciplines is highly desirable.
