The German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) is seeking a Scientific Policy Officer (Economist) (m/f/d) to join the Secretariat of the German Advisory Council on Health and Care (SVR) in Bonn or Berlin, with start as soon as possible. The position is full-time and fixed-term until 31 August 2030.

The successful candidate will support the Advisory Council by conducting literature reviews, analysing and interpreting health data, contributing to expert reports on Germany’s healthcare system, collaborating with researchers and policymakers, organising Council meetings and events, and presenting findings in publications and conferences. 📑📈

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, health sciences, social sciences or a related field, with strong expertise in health economics and the German healthcare system. A **PhD and/or scientific publications**, experience with data analysis and statistical software, excellent writing skills, and good English proficiency are required. Experience in systematic reviews, econometrics, epidemiology or evidence-based medicine is an advantage.
