Dear all, the Heinrich Böll Foundation recently published this call for feminist engagement, and we encourage you to participate!

"We celebrate feminists who courageously and persistently advocate—often at great personal risk—for visibility and inclusion, for sexual rights and bodily autonomy. They inspire and empower others, yet often remain invisible themselves. We want to give them the recognition they deserve and provide a platform where they can tell their stories and be celebrated.

To this end, we are launching a new award endowed with €10,000, accompanied by a gala ceremony and a commitment to making their struggles visible, wherever they take place. Feminism Now! is a political statement by the Heinrich Böll Foundation: public attention can provide protection, international recognition can create political space for action, and financial support can enable tangible change.

The inaugural Feminism Now! Award for Feminist Engagement will be presented at a ceremonial award gala on 5 March 2027 in Berlin.
We warmly invite you to nominate candidates for the Feminism Now! Award for Feminist Engagement 2027. Please introduce your nominee in no more than three A4 pages and explain the reasons for your nomination. Kindly submit your proposal by email (preferred) or by post to Ulrike Cichon (cichon@boell.de).
