Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is seeking a Research Associate to join the EFRE-funded collaborative project "Heat Competence of Vulnerable Groups in Saxony-Anhalt" (HiLSA), which aims to strengthen resilience to heatwaves through improved health literacy and evidence-based prevention strategies.
š Key Responsibilities:
⢠Lead systematic reviews on topics such as heat, health, and healthcare provision
⢠Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current situation in Saxony-Anhalt (stakeholders, data sources, measures, regulations)
⢠Design, manage, and analyse quantitative research studies
⢠Support project coordination and project management activities
⢠Collaborate with project partners and stakeholders
⢠Organise and support workshops and knowledge-transfer activities
⢠Contribute to project reporting and public outreach
⢠Publish scientific findings and present results at national and international conferences
ā Required Profile:
⢠Master's degree (or equivalent university diploma) in Public Health, Health Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Epidemiology, Psychology, Health Services Research, Social Sciences, Sociology, or a related field
⢠Research experience in one or more of the following areas: heat and health, health literacy, healthcare systems, or social networks
⢠Strong quantitative research skills (e.g. SPSS, R)
⢠Experience with systematic literature reviews and reference management tools
⢠Excellent organisational, analytical, and project management skills
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
⢠Strong communication and teamwork abilities
⢠Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
ā Desirable:
⢠Experience working in scientific research projects
⢠Experience preparing scientific publications
⢠Qualitative research experience
