🤝 Branch Lead (6+ years experience)

✔️ Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in development policy, public affairs, political consulting, or a development cooperation organisation — ideally with institutions such as the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), KfW, or within parliamentary environments
✔️ Established network and proven experience engaging with ministerial decision-makers and/or parliamentarians in the field of development policy
✔️ Strong understanding of parliamentary processes and cross-party political engagement
✔️ Experience collaborating with leading international development cooperation organisations
✔️ High credibility, confidence, and professionalism in demanding stakeholder dialogues and external engagements

Key Responsibilities

📊 Translate international evidence into actionable recommendations for German development cooperation
🏛️ Engage directly with policymakers, ministries, parliamentarians, and civil society actors
💡 Develop policy briefs, dissemination strategies, and communication materials
🔗 Contribute strategically to the organisation’s direction and policy work

Profile Requirements

✔️ Experience in development cooperation and politics/public affairs
✔️ Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
✔️ Ability to translate complex evidence into politically actionable proposals
✔️ Excellent stakeholder communication and political sensitivity
✔️ German C2 and English C1 proficiency
