The Berlin Institute of Health at Charité is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) to work on large-scale omics and clinical data within the ERC-funded “GenDrug” project. 🧬💻
📍 location: Berlin (BIH, Berlin Mitte)
📅 start date: 01 July 2026 (or as soon as possible)
⏳ contract: fixed-term (until 28 February 2029)
💼 workload: full-time or part-time (min. 30h/week)
💰 salary: E13 TVöD
🧩 key tasks:
* analyse large-scale omics data (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics) from cohorts such as UK Biobank
* study drug effects on biomarkers and clinical outcomes
* develop computational and statistical methods (e.g. machine learning, causal inference)
* build data pipelines and work in HPC/cloud environments (R/Python)
* create data visualisation tools (e.g. Shiny apps)
* publish research and present at conferences
* integrate datasets and support translational insights for personalised medicine
* supervise junior researchers and students
👤 profile requirements:
* PhD in genomics, genetic epidemiology, or related field
* strong publication track record in omics / pharmacoepidemiology
* experience with large-scale omics data and computational genomics
* strong programming skills (R, Python, HPC/cloud)
* experience with machine learning and statistical analysis
* strong English skills
