The Brandenburg Theodor Fontane Medical University (MHB) is seeking a full-time Biostatistician (m/f/d) for its Institute for Biostatistics and Registry Research at the Neuruppin campus. The position starts on 1 May 2026 and is offered as a 36-month fixed-term contract in a research-focused, interdisciplinary environment.

Tasks:
Conduct independent statistical analyses of clinical and epidemiological studies (national and international), particularly in oncology and psychiatric research. Work with complex secondary data (e.g. health insurance and registry data), develop and apply statistical methods, contribute to research design and grant proposals, and publish/present scientific results.

Profile requirements:
A university degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, or epidemiology is required. Candidates should have strong knowledge of statistical methods (especially survival and multivariate analysis), programming skills (e.g. R, SAS, Stata, Python), and experience in clinical or epidemiological research is an advantage. Applicants should be analytical, self-driven, team-oriented, and scientifically curious.

Language skills:
German (minimum B1) and English (C1) required 🌍
