Scientific Research Associate – Health Economics (TransVer project) | Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg | Application deadline: 16.03.2026

Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg is seeking a full-time Scientific Research Associate in Health Economics for the research project “Digital Transformation of Healthcare in Rural Areas (TransVer)” at the Department of Health Services Research. The project examines how hospitals can transform into digitally supported regional healthcare centers to improve local care.

Tasks
• Lead health economics research within the TransVer project and analyze the healthcare transformation process
• Evaluate medical and technical innovations tested in real-world settings and home environments
• Develop and coordinate the health economics work package within the project
• Conduct and analyze expert interviews and organize expert workshops
• Integrate results from different project work packages to assess initial, current, and target states of healthcare transformation
• Analyze economic aspects of digital and medical innovations in healthcare
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and contribute to joint scientific publications
• Coordinate and administer the subproject and support early-career researchers

Profile Requirements
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, health economics, health services research, public health, or a related field
• Completed PhD or equivalent proof of independent research capability
• Proven expertise in health economic evaluation demonstrated through publications
• Strong independence, initiative, and very good quantitative research skills
• Very good German and English skills desirable
• Experience in project management and interdisciplinary research advantageous
• Research experience in health services research or medical/technical innovations is beneficial

Key Details
• Salary: E14 TV-L
• Working hours: 100% (full-time, part-time possible)
• Location: Oldenburg, Germany 📍
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Contract duration: fixed-term until 30 September 2030
