Berlin Senate Department for Labour, Social Affairs, Equality, Integration, Diversity and Anti‑Discrimination is seeking a Head of Division to lead the unit “Anti-Violence, Women in a Healthy and Social City” and manage the project “Protection Spaces for Women Affected by Violence”.
tasks
• Lead and manage the division focusing on anti-violence policy and women’s social participation
• Develop strategies and policy measures related to violence prevention, integration, public safety, and women’s health
• Design and implement support services and protection measures for women affected by violence
• Develop concepts to improve social integration for women in vulnerable situations (e.g., poverty, old age, prostitution, human trafficking, migration background)
• Coordinate measures against sexual violence and support implementation of the Prostituiertenschutzgesetz
• Represent the division externally and collaborate with stakeholders at state, federal, and EU levels
• Coordinate work within the division and supervise staff, trainees, and junior civil servants
profile requirements
• Completed university degree (Master/Diploma/Magister) in political science, social work, sociology, social sciences, cultural or humanities studies, psychology, Islamic studies, or law (with second state examination)
• Several years of relevant professional or public administration experience, preferably in gender equality policy or anti-violence work
• Several years of leadership experience or experience managing teams or working groups
