The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is seeking a full-time intern for its Competence Center “Health and Social Protection”. The internship is based in Eschborn and runs from 1 March 2026 to 31 August 2026.

🩺 Key Tasks
• Support technical advisors in health systems and social protection
• Contribute to policy briefs, technical statements, and project reviews
• Conduct research for project assessments and evaluations
• Support knowledge management within the Competence Center
• Contribute to digitalisation efforts, including the use of AI
• Assist in organizing events, meetings, and team sessions
• Take meeting minutes and support the preparation of presentations

👤 Profile Requirements
• Completed Master’s degree in Public Health, Political, Social or Economic Sciences, Social Work, or a related field
• First practical experience in international development cooperation (Germany or abroad)
• Academic or practical focus on health and/or social protection
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Very good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interest or experience in digital tools and AI in health and social protection is an asset
• Excellent German and English skills; French or another language is a plus
