Main responsibilities
• Strategic leadership, personnel & budget responsibility for the department
• Coordinating research areas and shaping the strategic direction of national Public-Health surveillance
• Representing the department to ministries, politics, science & the public
• Leading and contributing to national/international committees & projects
• Driving cross-departmental initiatives and securing research funding
• Collaboration with Public Health Services and contribution to scientific publications
Your profile
• Completed university degree (Medicine, Psychology, Public Health, Statistics or similar) plus PhD
• Habilitation and additional Public Health/Epidemiology qualification desirable
• Proven expertise in research, project management & quality control
• Strong track record in acquiring major third-party funding
• German C2 and English C1 level required
• Leadership strengths: strategic thinking, decision-making, change management, teamwork & communication
