The Brandenburg Medical School (MHB) is looking for a Research Associate (m/f/d) to join the CARE Research Group (Climate, Aging, and Relationships) at its Rüdersdorf campus near Berlin. The position is part-time (20 hrs/week) and limited to 24 months, starting immediately.

🧭 Main Tasks
• Conduct independent and collaborative research on loneliness, aging, and social relationships in the context of climate change
• Contribute to developing the Social Relationship Expectations Scale (Germany, Hong Kong, USA)
• Design and manage your own research projects
• Perform literature reviews, data analyses, and publish in international journals
• Support third-party funding applications and mentor students

🎓 Profile
• Degree in Psychology, Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, or related field (PhD welcome, doctoral study possible)
• Interest in loneliness research and climate–health intersections
• Strong quantitative research skills; experience with R, scale development, or network analysis desirable
• Excellent English skills, teamwork, and scientific curiosity
