The Behavioral Science for Prevention and Care Team at the TUM School of Medicine and Health is seeking a PhD researcher (m/f/d) starting February/March 2026. The team designs and evaluates strategies to improve preventive health care use and quality in low- and middle-income countries, combining behavioral, social, and economic research.
đź§© Key Tasks:
• Conduct literature reviews, design and implement research studies
• Support data collection and fieldwork in India and Rwanda
• Perform statistical analysis (R/Stata/Python) and visualize findings
• Contribute to publications, grant proposals, and teaching activities
👤 Profile Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Economics, Psychology, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Health/Public Policy, or related field
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Experience with primary research or field studies (ideally in LMICs)
• Excellent written and spoken English; enthusiasm for teamwork and field research
đź’Ľ Position Details:
• 65% TV-L E13 contract (approx. €1,800–2,100 net/month)
• Initially 1 year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance
• Based in Munich (2–3 days/week in office)
• Funded travel for field research abroad
• Access to TUM PhD benefits, including professional development and language courses
