About the organisation:
Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is one of Germany’s largest humanitarian and development NGOs, working towards Zero Hunger and a healthy planet by 2030. The Humanitarian Directorate leads WHH’s efforts in emergency response, anticipatory action, crisis support, and humanitarian logistics.
Your tasks:
• Support emergency response operations, coordination, and crisis management
• Contribute to assessment and analysis for humanitarian action
• Assist in strategic humanitarian programmes (e.g. WAHAFA, ToGETHER, ESUPS)
• Support humanitarian advocacy and policy development
• Help prepare project proposals, reports, and donor outreach
• Participate in field deployments to WHH programme countries during the second year
Your profile:
• University degree (preferably with humanitarian studies background such as NOHA or SLE) 🎓
• Experience in emergency response or humanitarian action
• International work or internship experience 🌏
• Strong intercultural communication, adaptability, and stress resilience
• Eagerness to use data-informed approaches in humanitarian work
• Fluent English; German or French a plus
• Willingness to receive vaccinations for field assignments 💉
