Start date: 1 December 2025 | Location: Berlin | Contract: Permanent | Workload: 90% part-time
Caritas international, the humanitarian aid organisation of the German Caritas Association, is seeking a Latin America Programme Officer to manage and develop humanitarian and development projects — initially focusing on the Andean region (Bolivia, Peru).
Key tasks:
• Develop and manage project proposals and funding applications (e.g. AA, BMZ, ECHO)
• Coordinate and monitor projects with local partner organisations
• Conduct field visits for planning and evaluation
• Identify new funding opportunities and support donor compliance
• Contribute to strategic themes such as localisation, humanitarian aid, the climate crisis, and human rights 🌱
Profile:
• University degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, or Regional Studies 🎓
• Experience in humanitarian aid or development cooperation
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills
• Excellent Spanish and English; intercultural competence and teamwork
• Willingness to travel to project regions ✈️
