The Deutsches Institut für Ärztliche Mission e.V. (Difäm), a Christian health organisation with over 100 years of experience in global and local health, is seeking a Director to lead its work in global health and development cooperation. Difäm supports more than 60 projects worldwide—particularly in Africa—focused on primary health care, medicine supply, and health system strengthening.

Main tasks:
• Strategic and operational leadership of the organisation, in coordination with the board and members 🧭
• Further development of Difäm’s global health and development work and active participation in national and international networks
• Budget and personnel responsibility together with the commercial director
• Representation of Difäm’s interests in partner institutions and foundations
• Oversight of project management, fundraising, and donor relations 💼
Profile:
• Academic degree in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Public/Global Health 🎓
• Extensive experience in healthcare and development cooperation in the Global South
• Strong leadership, management, and fundraising skills
• Excellent German and English, French an advantage
• Identification with Christian values and readiness to travel and work interculturally
