Advisor – Protection & Participation (“Schutz & Teilhabe”) | International Rescue Committee (IRC) Germany | Application deadline: 28 October 2025
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) – one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein – is hiring 8 Advisors (“Referent*innen Schutz & Teilhabe”) across Berlin, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt. The roles (32–40 hrs/week) start as soon as possible, initially limited until October 2028.
🎯 Key tasks:
• Build and coordinate local partner networks (e.g. family centers, migrant organizations, schools, youth services).
• Recruit parents with refugee or migration experience for group sessions.
• Organize and facilitate parent groups and workshops (min. 8 sessions per group).
• Support family centers and schools in fostering dialogue and inclusion between parents and educators.
• Organize regional networking events and contribute to materials for professional awareness.
• Document project progress, share best practices, and assist with administration
🧩 Profile requirements:
• At least 3 years’ experience working with families with refugee or migration backgrounds.
• Background in social work, education, or community projects.
• Sensitivity to diversity, multilingualism, and migration issues.
• Excellent German (C1) and good English (B1) skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Well-connected within local communities; willing to travel regionally.
• Personal or family migration experience is an asset.
