Call for Nominations | Gavi Civil Society Representative to the Programme and Policy Committee (PPC) | Deadline: 17 October 2025
Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, invites nominations for a Civil Society Constituency Representative to serve on its Programme and Policy Committee (PPC) for a two-year term starting 1 January 2026 (renewable once).
About the Role
The PPC provides strategic oversight of Gavi’s programmes and policies. The Civil Society Representative ensures that community and NGO perspectives are reflected in Gavi’s policy-making, advocacy, and implementation work. The position is organizational, not individual, and requires commitment to Gavi’s governance principles and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to shaping Gavi’s policies and strategies on immunization, health systems, and equity.
• Represent and communicate the experiences of civil society implementers and advocates.
• Participate in PPC meetings and working groups, offering independent and evidence-based insights.
• Dedicate at least 25% of working time to Gavi CSO engagement.
Candidate Profile
• Senior professional with strong expertise in public health, immunization, and health systems.
• Experience in programme implementation, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, or resource mobilization.
• Familiarity with Gavi’s strategies, including Gavi 6.0 (2026–2030).
• Knowledge of development financing and global health governance is an advantage.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) are assets.
Eligibility
• Nominations must come from non-profit, non-political organizations engaged in immunization or health system strengthening.
• The nominee must be authorized to represent the organization at global level.
