📢 Vacancy: Project Leader – Health Happens Here (32–36 hrs, Utrecht)
Rutgers is seeking a Project Leader to lead Health Happens Here, a four-year SRHR programme in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda, starting January 2026.
Main tasks:
• Translate the programme proposal into detailed plans and country strategies
• Lead and coordinate implementation with partners and team members
• Oversee progress, budgets, donor reporting and risk management
• Represent Rutgers at national/international events
Profile:
• Degree (BA/MA) with substantial experience in managing large, international projects
• Skilled in intercultural team leadership, budgeting and donor reporting
• Strong background in SRHR, gender, human rights or social justice
• Professional working proficiency in French, English and Dutch
• Experience in East/West Africa and fragile contexts is a plus
Offer:
• Salary €4,315–€5,604 (36 hrs) + 8.33% holiday allowance + 8.33% end-of-year bonus
• 5.5 weeks’ holiday, parental leave options, vitality benefits, annual balance budget
• Utrecht-based hybrid role; candidates must live in the Netherlands
