The Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation in Berlin, with over 100 years of commitment to inclusion and self-determination for people with disabilities, is seeking two part-time Research Associates (20h/week each) for the new project VR4Talk – VR-based speech therapy for people with aphasia, starting 1 October 2025 (fixed-term until 30 September 2028). The positions are suitable for doctoral research.
Tasks
• Conduct scientific groundwork on therapy approaches.
• Analyse needs of patients with aphasia and speech therapists (participatory, user-centred design).
• Co-develop VR-based therapy protocols.
• Plan and manage a feasibility study.
• Present research at national and international conferences.
• Prepare publications and disseminate results.
• Collaborate closely with technical partners.
Profile
• University degree in Patholinguistics, Speech Therapy, Therapy Sciences, Public Health, Medicine, or related fields.
• Ideally, practical experience in neurorehabilitation and user-centred research.
• Strong interest in innovative technologies.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
• Good command of English.
