Wellcome Trust is hiring an Adviser for European Government Relations to strengthen their advocacy and partnerships in Germany and across Europe. The role is based in the Wellcome Europe Office in Berlin and focuses on building relationships with policymakers, delivering political analysis, and shaping strategies around global health priorities – climate & health, mental health, and infectious diseases.
🧩 Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders and policy actors in Germany and the EU
Deliver high-level political analysis and strategic advice for Wellcome leadership
Lead cross-cutting advocacy and policy projects in global health
Represent Wellcome in political and professional forums
🎯 Your Profile:
5+ years’ experience in public affairs or government institutions (Germany/EU)
Background in political science, international relations, public health or similar
Expertise in global health and an existing stakeholder network
Excellent communication in German and English
Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
🏢 Hybrid Work:
3 days/week in the Berlin office (Tue–Thu), 2 days remote
