Project Advocacy Officer (m/f/d) | Plan International | Deadline Unspecified
Plan International is hiring a Project-Based Advocacy Officer (f/m/d) for its Youth Trauma Care Project, which focuses on expanding psychosocial support for refugee children and adolescents in Germany.
š Location: Berlin
š Start Date: July 1, 2025
š Working Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)
š Contract: Fixed-term (3 years, subject to funding approval)
š¼ Organization: Plan International Germany
š Key Responsibilities:
⢠Lead strategic communication on state and federal levels
⢠Provide expertise on refugee children's rights and psychosocial health
⢠Act as advocacy liaison between the project team and the development policy department
⢠Collaborate with BAfF and four psychosocial centers across Germany
⢠Conduct research on mental health, legal frameworks, and international obligations
⢠Network with civil society organizations
⢠Develop position papers on structural challenges in psychosocial care for refugee minors
⢠Represent Plan in lobbying activities, working groups, and meetings with policymakers and authorities
ā Profile Requirements:
⢠University degree in politics, social sciences, psychology, public health, or related fields
⢠Expertise in advocacy, child rights, migration, and/or mental health
⢠At least 3 years of professional experience in advocacy related to migration and refugee issues
⢠Excellent command of German and English
⢠Strong MS Office skills
⢠Team-oriented, flexible, and solution-driven
⢠Willingness to travel within Germany
