Plan International is hiring a Project-Based Advocacy Officer (f/m/d) for its Youth Trauma Care Project, which focuses on expanding psychosocial support for refugee children and adolescents in Germany.

šŸ“… Start Date: July 1, 2025
šŸ•’ Working Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)
šŸ“† Contract: Fixed-term (3 years, subject to funding approval)
šŸ’¼ Organization: Plan International Germany

šŸ” Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic communication on state and federal levels
• Provide expertise on refugee children's rights and psychosocial health
• Act as advocacy liaison between the project team and the development policy department
• Collaborate with BAfF and four psychosocial centers across Germany
• Conduct research on mental health, legal frameworks, and international obligations
• Network with civil society organizations
• Develop position papers on structural challenges in psychosocial care for refugee minors
• Represent Plan in lobbying activities, working groups, and meetings with policymakers and authorities

āœ… Profile Requirements:
• University degree in politics, social sciences, psychology, public health, or related fields
• Expertise in advocacy, child rights, migration, and/or mental health
• At least 3 years of professional experience in advocacy related to migration and refugee issues
• Excellent command of German and English
• Strong MS Office skills
• Team-oriented, flexible, and solution-driven
• Willingness to travel within Germany
