Call for Applications: Youth Delegate to the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA) | German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) | June 15, 2025 – 23:59 (CET)

🔹 About the Role
The Youth Delegate will join the German delegation to the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA) in May 2026, representing the voices of young people in Germany.

Start Date: October 1, 2025
Duration: Until July 31, 2026 (plus a handover meeting in October 2026)

The role includes:
• Preparing and delivering a youth statement at the WHA
• Engaging with youth networks to gather input and consult on key issues
• Supporting the German delegation (e.g., protocol writing)
• Participating in events like the World Health Summit 2025
• Conducting consultations and drafting follow-up materials such as policy briefs
• Managing outreach via social media and email distribution
• Attending pre- and post-WHA meetings and writing a final report

🔹 Who Can Apply?
• Aged 18–27, currently enrolled or recently graduated (within 6 months)
• Background in a field relevant to global health
• Experience in global health engagement and youth networks
• Strong knowledge of WHO and global health institutions
• Excellent German and English skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills

🔹 Workload: 5–20 hours/week (flexible); full availability required during WHA
📌 Important Notes
• The position is voluntary, but travel and participation costs are covered
• Participation in all days of the WHA is not guaranteed
• An online Q&A session with the current youth delegate will take place on June 3, 2025 at 19:00
