About the Role
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is hiring multiple PhD candidates to conduct research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Public Health as part of the ZKI-PH Center for AI in Public Health Research. Candidates will work on innovative projects while completing their dissertation.

Key Responsibilities
🔹 Conduct independent research in AI applications for Public Health.
🔹 Develop algorithms and software tools.
🔹 Work on projects like disease risk assessment, early warning systems, and big data analysis.
🔹 Present findings at conferences and publish research papers.

Who Can Apply?
✔ Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical, scientific, medical, or Public Health field.
✔ Experience with quantitative data analysis and at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.).
✔ English proficiency (C1), German (A2) or willingness to learn (language support provided).
✔ Experience with AI, machine learning, and scientific publishing is a plus.
