About This Event
The World Health Organization (WHO) will launch the 2025 edition of the Global Hypertension Report during the United Nations General Assembly. This high-level event will convene ministers and global health leaders to call for urgent, accelerated action to control hypertension worldwide.
The new report will:
- Highlight the global burden and consequences of hypertension.
- Present country-level data on prevalence and control.
- Provide policy recommendations and evidence-based interventions.
- Showcase progress and challenges across regions.
Featured speakers include Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (Director-General, WHO), Dr Tom Frieden (President & CEO, Resolve to Save Lives), and Dr Kelly Henning (Bloomberg Philanthropies).
